I wish there were pictures. I like how the author tries to show you the "looks" that Dr. Hackman is giving Paul (p.46; there is an example of what I am talking about). All of these things to me make it seem as though he has something up his sleeve.
So the end of chapter 6 is a little creepy. Someone saying where are my eyes! Is it the mummy or is it Dr. Hackman? Maybe he is just trying to scare him was my first thought, but then I thought of the curse!
I think that when he put the coin in the statue, it brought the mummy back to life! It did something. And then the mummy did something to Dr. Hackman!
I wonder what will happen to the kids! They are obviously going to try and go in the house and get the mummy for the reward. I bet they find it and will find Dr. Hackman's body somewhere!
Yeah, this is really getting creepy. Especially with all those people that look for the mummy and run out screaming! I was really scared when the thing scratched at the door and said "WHERE ARE MY EYES!!!" I was thinking it was like the curse that had something to do with Anubis. Because he was the only thing that could talk and scratch and sniff like a jackal. Or was it? I wonder what happened to The Doctor.

DeleteI am wondering if mummy lost its eyes. I am also wondering if when he put the coin on the statute if that made the mummy come to life. I hope the kids can go get the mummy and get the reward. I'm afraid that if the get the mummy they aren't going to get the reward maybe its a trick.

Deletei think that it was not the mummy that was pounding on the door saying were are my eyes. i think it was Dr. Hackman being his old jerk self trying to scare them. I also think that could be Dr. Hackman's mummy and his body could be in that tomb and that a person that is dr.hackman is really a curse and is the mummy's spirit.
ReplyDeleteYa. I think he is just making Paul do those jobs to make him go down stairs then he will trap him down there with the statute and the mummy. I really think it is all the curse that is talking to him. I think the statue did do something to Dr. Hackman.
ReplyDeleteI was freaked out when I think the mummy was saying where are my eyes. I think that it was the mummy sniffing at Paul's door. Also I think the reason they can’t find dr. Hackman is because the mummy killed him because he wouldn’t give him his eyes.
ReplyDeletei was freaked out when the voice said where are my eyes, and i think Dr. Hackman is sometimes the mummy during the night and himself during the day, and the basement thing is so scary,maybe the mother has something to to with all of this - beings she is never around when things happen - ya never know.

ReplyDeleteThis is starting to get creepy. Dr. Hackman is either a jerk or is dead somewhere. I wonder what happened to him. What happened to him. Also I think that Jeff and Debbie should end up getting in contact with Jules and Anna. They could maybe give them a few pointers.

It was a little creepy at the end. i think they will go in the house and find both of them. I think it was the mummy outside the door looking for his golden eyes. i wonder if the coin is still in the base of the statue.i wonder what is going to happen next.
