So it seems that Dr. Hackman has a mummy that he "smuggled" into the United States. My background knowledge of mummies tells me that there could be a curse, something Dr. Hackman eluded to in his conversation with Paul. I wonder if this curse had something to do with the person falling out of the window. I also wonder why he even took Paul down in the basement to show him the mummy. I would think he would want to keep it a secret. I'm also wondering what the noises are he is hearing. I would freak out!

Yea I would not go down with Dr.Hackman he hates Paul so he coud like lock him down there or something. Mabey he sowed it to Paul so he would tell everybody so then he would get in trouble for steeling it.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking. I thought Dr.Hackman would lock him down there and make him wake the mummy. Then Paul would get the curse.
Deletei think that the house is haunted by other things. I wouldnt stand one minute in the room with the voices and mummy. I am very curious too about the window.

DeleteWhen he told paul to come in the basement I was thinking oh jeez something bad is going to happen but he just ended up showing him the mummy. I wonder who was saying paul I think its his mother. She probably went to check on him and then noticed it was warm so she opened the window and fell out.
ReplyDeleteI think the noise Paul herd was the person that fell out of the window or just the wind. I think that the house is haunted by other things. I wouldn't stand one minute in the room with the voices and mummy.

ReplyDeleteI think that Dr. Hackman thinks that you have to do something to get the curse and that's what he is trying to get Paul to do. Also I think that Dr. Hackman will think that something is missing to the mummy and add something to it and the mummy will take over him and that is what I think the scream was.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Mr. Hackman got that mummy in the united states. I thought that Mr. Hackman was going to scare Paul when he took him into the basement. I was freaked out when he heard that noise. I wonder if it was his mom, or the mummy. I think the mom could have fell out the window.
ReplyDeleteI think the house is super haunted by spirits (not the good kind) and also I wouldn't go down to the basement with Dr. Hackman.

ReplyDeleteI would want to go in the basement to see the mummy. I think it was the wind that made the noise. How can you get a mummy into the United States you would think they would look in the boxes to see what they have.
ReplyDeleteI think the mummy that Dr. Hackman has in the basement is the person who fell out of the window, and Dr. Hackman is just saying its a mummy. I think he doesn't like Paul.

DeleteI think that Mr. Hackman is pretty superstitious when it comes to things like this. Also, I think he might be a small tad crazy in the head. Why would he just laugh like that after showing Paul the mummy?

DeleteDr. Hackman freaks me out. He is doing all these weird things to try to scare Paul. There is something up with that guy. In a way I thought that Dr. Hackman was going to lock Paul in the basement and wake the mummy so he gets the curse.

DeleteI wonder if the noises he heard was from the the person that fell out the window and Mr. hackmen put pule up there because he knew the room was hunted and wanted something bad to happen to him.
ReplyDeletei wonder if the thing that paule found under the chest was something that was from the mummy's grave and Mr.hackmen put it in pule's room so something bad could happen to him and Mr. hackmen wouldn't have to deal with him any more.
ReplyDeleteIf I was Paul I would not go down in the basement with Mr. Karsten. Mr. Karsten kind of freaks me out because he has a mummy. And I think he stole the mummy from egypt.
